Sherwood Academy (formerly Sherwood E-ACT Academy and also formerly The Gedling School and Gedling Secondary Modern) is a secondary school with academy status located in the village of Gedling, Nottinghamshire. It teaches around 20 pupils, aged 15 to 16. In September 2014 the academy shut to years 7 8 and 9 students. Year 10 and 11 students will finish their GCSEs at the academy. By September 2016 the academy will close in its current form.〔OFSTED - (The Gedling School )〕 The school teaches GCSEs and BTECs. In September 2012 Gedling School was renamed "Sherwood E-ACT Academy" when E-ACT became the sponsor for the school.
